Co-produced by ARTE France and supported by other national and international partners, the series traces the history of slave trade from the VIIth to the XIXth century. In order to manage this ambitious animation project, Mikros Liège organised a specialised coaching for young talents. The painters and illustrators were trained to the technique of painted rotoscoping in photoshop. The result is 17.280 drawings done by a team of 12 people over a course of 10 months.
